On November 16, 2025, we spent the morning at Nyanyi Beach in Tabanan together with PedulyBali, focusing on a clean-up that later continued into a recycling workshop with Daur Tera. In total, 18 volunteers joined the activity, staying involved from the shoreline all the way to the learning session afterward.
Clean-Up Action
We started on the beach. The tide had left behind scattered plastic and mixed waste along the sand, and it didn’t take long to fill the first few bags. By the end of the clean-up, we had collected 112 kilograms of waste. Seeing that amount gathered in one place made the impact feel very real, it’s one thing to talk about pollution, and another to lift it off the ground piece by piece.

Seeing What Happens Next
After packing up, we headed to Daur Tera’s facility to better understand what happens next. The workshop walked us through how plastic is sorted, processed, and turned into usable products. Watching the transformation process gave more context to the morning’s effort. Recycling stopped being an abstract concept and became something tangible.

Key Takeaway
We closed the day by talking about waste segregation why it matters and how much easier recycling becomes when materials are sorted properly from the start. The message was straightforward: cleaning up is important, but preventing and sorting waste correctly is what makes long-term change possible.
