A group of 21 of us got together at Sekeh Beach in early 2026 to clear out as much trash as we could find. It’s all part of the regular work we’re doing to keep the coastline here in Badung from getting trashed.

The Team in Action

The volunteers didn’t hold back—everyone spent the morning working their way along the shoreline, grabbing waste before the tide had a chance to pull it out into the open ocean. It’s hard work, but it’s the only way to make sure the plastic actually stays off the reef.

The Final Haul

By the time we called it a day, we had filled enough bags to hit 137 kilograms of waste. You could see the difference immediately; the beach just looked so much healthier without all that junk scattered around.

Why We Keep Doing It

Removing that much pollution is a win, but it also shows why showing up consistently matters. Bali’s coast needs us to stay on top of things, and seeing the community get stuck in like this is exactly what’s going to keep these ecosystems alive.
