On May 17, 2026, we came back to Wana Segara Kertih for the third session of the Ecomora program, joined by 25 volunteers.
Cleaning From a Canoe
From 8:00 to 9:30 in the morning, the team paddled through the mangrove waterways collecting waste as they went. Canoes reach what boots cannot: the narrow channels where plastic drifts in and then stays, wedged among branches and twigs well beyond the reach of anyone walking the bank.
56 Kilograms Out of the Roots
In an hour and a half we pulled 56 kg out of the area, most of it plastic debris caught in the tree branches. Thank you to every volunteer who paddled. See you at the next Ecomora session.
