Kitting Everyone Out
Before anyone picks up a single piece of waste, someone has to hand out the equipment and explain how the sorting works. It is the least photogenic part of a clean-up and the part that decides whether the collected waste can actually be separated afterwards.
Away From the Coast
Not every clean-up belongs on a beach. Waste that accumulates inland reaches the sea eventually, carried by drains and rivers, so clearing it here means it never becomes a coastal problem in the first place.
