On May 16, 2026, we returned to SDN 1 Punggul for the sixth and final session of the EcoJoy program. 25 volunteers came to spend the day with 109 students.
Three Months, Reviewed
Students from grades 1 to 5 went back over everything we had shared since the program began, reinforcing the habits they had built along the way. Watching children recall lessons from months earlier, unprompted, is the clearest sign that something has stuck.
A Thank You to the School
To close, we gathered with the students and the principal and presented the school with a commemorative plaque as a token of our gratitude. We hope the children keep applying what they have learned about waste and environmental care in their everyday lives. Thank you for being part of this journey, and see you at the next EcoJoy program.
