On Sunday, July 5, 2026, we returned to Wana Segara Kertih one last time for the closing event of the Ecomora program.
Planting and Clearing, Together
10 volunteers spent two hours planting mangroves and collecting waste from the surrounding area, ending the day with 56 kg removed. It was a fitting way to finish: the same two actions the program was built around, done side by side.
What Ecomora Leaves Behind
Ecomora began here in April with a kickoff clean-up and waste bins, and it ends here with saplings in the ground. Restoration is slower than removal and far less visible on the day — but it is the part that keeps working long after the volunteers have gone home.
