Today, on May 12, we spent the morning at Purnama Beach with a small crew of 9 volunteers, and we cleared 65 kg of trash off the beach.
Walking the beach and picking up every bit of plastic we found really showed how much junk washes up. Getting those 65 kilos out of there made a huge difference for the shoreline, and you could actually see the beach looking like it should again.
Small Crew, Big Impact
Even though there were only 9 of us, it was a great reminder that you don’t need a massive crowd to get things done. We spent the morning talking about how important it is to keep the coast clean, and it felt good knowing our small group made a real dent in the pollution there.

Protecting Our Backyard
By the time the sun got high, we were all pretty tired, but the beach was way better off. It’s all about taking care of the spots we love and making sure people realize that every bag of trash we haul away counts for the future of the ocean.
