On October 5, 2024, a team of 7 volunteerswas at SDN 1 Bebandem in Karangasem to hang out with 45 students for a morning focused on the planet. Instead of a standard lecture, the goal was to get the kids talking and thinking about the world around them - how cool is that?

Chatting About Waste and the World

The crew introduced the basics of waste management and why looking after the environment is actually a big deal. We kept things casual and skipped the formal teaching style, focusing instead on sparking curiosity and getting the students to ask plenty of questions.

Small Habits, Big Differences

We spent time talking about the simple, everyday stuff the kids can do to keep their school and neighborhood looking great. It was all about showing them that they don't need to do anything massive to make an impact—tiny, consistent habits are where the real change happens.

Starting Early

The whole point of the day was to help these students realize, even at a young age, that they have a huge role to play in protecting nature. By starting with the spaces they see every day, we’re helping them grow up with a natural instinct to look after the environment.
