On January 25, 2026, the OceanHero team headed over to Lentera Anak Bali in Denpasar for a day of learning that was anything but boring. We had a great turnout, with 20 energetic kids and 26 volunteers all coming together to dive into some pretty important environmental topics.
Getting Hands-On with the Planet
We spent two hours breaking down the basics of waste—what it is and, more importantly, what we’re supposed to do with it. Instead of just lecturing, we kept things grounded with real-life examples that actually made sense to the kids, showing them that "waste management" isn't just a big buzzword, but something they can actually help with.

Tapping into Creativity
One of the highlights was the poster-making session. We handed out A3 sheets and let the kids go to town. It was amazing to see them take the facts they’d just learned and turn them into art. Their drawings and ideas really showed that they "got it" translating environmental lessons into colorful, creative messages.
Learning Through Play

To keep the energy up, we mixed in plenty of interactive games. It turns out that the best way to teach kids about their impact on the world is to make it fun. By the end of the session, the games helped connect the dots between their everyday actions and the health of the planet, proving that being eco-conscious doesn't have to feel like a chore.
