On June 14, 2025, Padang Galak Beach got a much-needed breather thanks to 39 energetic volunteers who showed up ready to roll up their sleeves. It wasn't just a casual stroll along the shore, the team put in the work to clear away the waste cluttering the coastline.

We'll let the results speak for themselves:

  • 172 kg of trash removed from the sand.
  • Dozens of bags filled, mostly with plastic that was destined for the ocean.
  • Immediate impact on local marine life by removing entanglement and ingestion risks.

What made the day special wasn’t just the heavy lifting, but the conversation it sparked. As the bags filled up, the volunteers started talking about where all this plastic actually comes from and how we can all lean less on single-use items in our own lives. By sunset, the beach looked transformed, proving that when a community decides to show up for nature, the results are both visible and inspiring.
