OceanHero carried out a beach clean-up on December 7, 2025, at Purnama Beach in Gianyar. The activity brought together 34 volunteers who worked along the shoreline from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Clean-Up Results

‍During the clean-up, the team collected 154 pieces of trash, most of which consisted of plastic waste scattered along the beach.

Raising Awareness

We wanted everyone there, volunteers and locals alike, to actually see the mess trash makes in their own backyard.
We weren't asking for anything crazy. We just encouraged people to start sorting their waste at home. It sounds simple, but it’s a huge first step. If you can separate the plastic from the food scraps today, you’re already part of the solution for tomorrow.
