On March 28, 2026, we closed the month in Tabanan with an educational session at the Tourism Office of Tabanan Regency, a meaningful step in growing our network of people who understand why ocean plastic collection matters.

Why We Were There

Through our ongoing collaboration with the Tabanan Regency Tourism Office, we had the opportunity to introduce OceanHero and share the story behind Bali Lebih Bersih, what the campaign is, why we're running it, and what's at stake.

Twenty participants from the Jegeg Bagus Tabanan program joined us for the session. Together, we unpacked the realities of Bali's waste crisis and why it demands urgent, collective action. The conversation didn't stay one-sided, we received honest feedback and ideas from the group that we're taking with us.

What We Hope Sticks

The finalists of Jegeg Bagus Tabanan carry real influence in their communities. We hope this session helps them bring the urgency of the waste issue into the programs and conversations they lead next.
