Today we spent the day at Wana Segara Kertih getting our hands dirty for a good cause. A solid crew of 37 volunteers showed up on May 25, 2024, and together we managed to get 260 mangrove saplings into the ground.
Getting More Trees
By planting 260 mangroves, we’re doing more than just adding greenery. These trees act like a natural shield for the coast, helping to stop erosion and giving local fish and birds a place to live. It’s one of the best ways to restore the balance of the shoreline.

Doing It Together
The best part was seeing so many people show up to help. When a community comes together like this, it takes the pressure off any one person and makes a huge task feel easy. It’s proof that we can actually protect our environment for the next generation if we just put in the collective effort.
A Stronger Shoreline for Later
Each tree we planted today is a long-term investment. As they grow, they’ll keep the water cleaner and the coast stronger for years to come. We finished the day tired but feeling great, knowing we left the area better than we found it.
